Make Vrindavan Villages is a project dedicated to building self-sufficient spiritual communities based on the principles of simple living and higher thinking.
MISSION
Since the advent of the Industrial Revolution some two hundred years ago, the world has followed a path of increasing industrialization, mechanization, and urbanization, eroding the basic values of a life once lived in traditional Vedic villages.
In these villages, people valued nature, cows, land, forests, human relationships, and a way of life grounded in morality, ethics, and God-conscious principles.
Unless this trend is reversed and the time-tested values of village life — based on self-sufficiency, sustainability, and self-governance — are restored, the foundations that safeguard human existence will continue to erode.
VISION
“There should be a thorough overhauling of the social system, and society should revert to the Vedic principles, that is, the four varnas and the four asramas.”
The Path
The foundation upon which society can function was already given long ago — the question is not how to create it, but how to find our way back to it.
This path takes concrete form and rests on several areas that are directly connected and cannot function independently.
Traditional Education — Gurukulas
Establishing traditional Gurukulas to train Gurukula Ācāryas in accordance with the fourteen standard branches of Vedic knowledge known as Caturdaśa Vidyā.
Varnāśrama Colleges
Establishing Varnāśrama Colleges dedicated to teaching the principles of Vedic education known as Catur Vidyā — the four Vedic sciences.
Vedic Villages
Establishing Vedic villages where natural farming, natural cow care, and natural trade based on farming and cow care are practiced.
Arts and Skills
Systematically teaching the sixty-four Vedic arts and sciences known as Catuḥṣaṣṭi Kalā, for both men and women.
