1. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Make Vrindavan Villages collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

By using the website, you agree to the terms of this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We ask for as little as possible. Depending on what you do on the site, we may hold:

your email address
the information you provide in a form or a message you send us
whether you asked to receive our newsletter, and when
whether you joined the waitlist for the membership, and when
which books your account has access to, and whether each one came from a purchase or from a free download
a record of each order: its date, the total, the currency, and the books it contained
the dates your account was created and last signed in
a reference number that identifies you to Stripe, our payment processor, if you have bought something

We do not ask for or store a password, a postal address, or a phone number, and we never see or store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

respond to your inquiries
communicate with you about the project
connect individuals and communities within the network
sign you in to your account and give you access to the books you own
process your orders and provide your invoices
send occasional updates or newsletters, if you have asked for them
write to you once the membership opens, if you have joined the waitlist

4. Form Submissions

When you submit a form on our website, the information you provide is used only for the purpose of:

responding to you
understanding your interest in the project
connecting you with relevant parts of the network

5. Accounts and Signing In

There is no password to create or remember. You give us your email address, and we send you a link that signs you in. The link works once and expires shortly after it is sent.

Once you are signed in, your browser holds a sign-in cookie that lasts 30 days, after which you sign in again the same way. Signing out clears it immediately.

An account exists so that the books you have bought or downloaded stay available to you. Nothing else is attached to it.

Subscribing to the newsletter is always optional. The box is never ticked for you, and it is never a condition of receiving a free book or of completing a purchase.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send.

7. The Membership Waitlist

The waitlist for the membership asks for one thing: your email address. We use it to write to you when the first lessons open and membership can be taken out. No payment details are asked for, and joining the waitlist creates no account and charges nothing.

Your address is stored by EmailOctopus, and it is the same list as the newsletter, so joining the waitlist also subscribes you to our email updates. One unsubscribe covers both: the link included in every email we send removes you from the waitlist and the newsletter together.

We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the website and communicate with you, or where required to comply with legal obligations. These providers include:

Stripe processes payments and issues invoices. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and are held by Stripe, not by us. When the membership opens for sale, its monthly payments will be processed by Stripe in the same way.
Resend delivers our transactional email, such as sign-in links and the messages confirming a book is ready for you.
EmailOctopus stores newsletter and waitlist subscriber email addresses and delivers our email updates. Your address reaches it only if you have asked for the newsletter or joined the membership waitlist.
Cloudflare hosts the website, stores our database and our book files, provides security and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) on our forms, and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics.

Because these providers operate internationally, your information may be processed and stored outside your country of residence.

9. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely and only for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Sign-in links and sign-in cookies are stored only as hashes, so their values cannot be read back out of our database.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

request access to your personal data
request correction or deletion of your data
unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link included in every email we send

11. Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and our website analytics are cookieless.

We use cookies only to run your account: one that keeps you signed in, and two small preference flags that let a page know whether you are signed in and whether you already receive the newsletter, so it stops offering it again. None of them carries your identity, and none is set before you sign in or ask for a book.

Our bot-protection tool (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a temporary cookie solely to verify that you are not an automated bot.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
